Office Bearers

The Applied Statistics Association of Sri Lanka (ASASL) was founded in 1999 to promote and assist the advancement of Applied Statistics for furtherance of research, development, education and training.   The Members of the Association are professional Statisticians/Applied Statisticians, holding responsible positions in various Universities, Government Departments, Ministries, Banks etc.  This Association is working actively with various government departments and ministries promoting the proper use of statistics in their day-to-day decision-makings.

• International Statistics Conference 2010


• Organisation of Professional Associations (OPA) granted membership to the Applied Statistics Association of Sri Lanka. Now Statistician is accepted as a profession in the country.
  


• Applied Statistics Association of Sri Lanka (ASASL) organized a very successful seminar on ‘Forecasting Techniques’ for the public and private sector officers who are engaged in forecasting in their day to day work.
